1 in 4 Households are projected to already be in fuel poverty study suggests
New data that has come out about the ongoing cost of living crisis which has seen the poorest UK houses facing the highest inflation rates have suggested that 1 in 4 households are currently living in fuel poverty.
This comes after energy regulator Ofgem announced a 54% price hike in energy bills that have affected 22 million households which came to effect in April.
Chancellor Rishi Sunak has said he hopes that Britons would be “reassured” by government action to “help ease some of the adjustments” to rising energy prices but (he) doesn’t have a “crystal ball” and warned households that they may have to adjust to higher prices in the future.
